Meet Brandon S. Bartie
Hometown Roots
Brandon Bartie was born and raised in Port Arthur, Texas. A proud graduate of the inaugural class of Memorial High School in 2003, Brandon continued his education at Prairie View A&M University, where he studied vocal music and developed a passion for service and leadership.
Early Career in Education
After returning home, Brandon began working for the Port Arthur Independent School District (PAISD) in several roles that kept him close to the students and community:
- Shipping and Receiving Department
- Coach at Travis Elementary
- Hall Monitor at multiple campuses
His experiences in these roles strengthened his desire to advocate for students, families, and educators.
Leadership on the School Board
In 2015, at just 31 years old, Brandon was elected to the PAISD Board of Trustees, becoming one of the youngest school board members in the state of Texas. He has since served as:
- Secretary
- Vice President
- President of the Board
A Man of Faith and Service
Brandon was licensed to preach the Gospel on September 18, 2005, under the leadership of Dr. John R. Adolph at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Beaumont, Texas. His ministry work is at the core of his values and continues to guide his leadership and decision-making.
Community Involvement
Brandon is active in numerous community programs and organizations:
- Founder of the Brandon Bartie Scholarship, helping local students pursue higher education
- Volunteer with Linda’s Lighthouse Back-to-School Drive
- Mentor through Deputy Camp under Constable Christopher Bates
- Member of the Young Men’s Business League (YMBL)
- Member of the Justice of the Peace & Constable Association
Family Life
Brandon is a dedicated husband and father. He is married to Marlease Bartie, and they are raising their son, Brenden Bartie, along with their family dog, Blu. His family is the foundation of his faith, values, and commitment to service.
